CURRICULUM AIM

​The Geography curriculum has been planned to help our students to understand the scale of the world and how diverse it is.  Topics covered will give students an appreciation and an understanding of the world outside of North Tyneside.   Staff will guide students to develop key skills such as making comparisons and linkages between themes and ideas, identifying cause and effect and how to form and share their own opinions about ‘big concepts’ we encounter in the curriculum.

​Our students will be exposed to global issues such as natural hazards and disasters, climate change, loss of biodiversity and sustainability.  We will learn together how big problems are everyone’s business no matter who we are or where we live.
